Leo Trudel has over a decade of clean energy experience. Prior to joining Realize 2050, he served as Director of Innovation and Technology at Indigo Advisory Group, where he managed advanced technology programs, developed business models, and provided transition-related advisory to some of the nation's largest electric utilities. He simultaneously co-founded Lorimer Ventures, a Brooklyn-based venture fund, where he oversaw pre-seed and seed stage cleantech investments. Previously, he founded CloudPort, a NYSERDA-backed startup that developed smart thermostats for large, multi tenant buildings. Leo began his cleantech journey as an analyst at Greenbacker Capital, a NYC-based yieldco, where he supported the portfolio management team. He later ran back-office operations for Evolve Capital, where he structured and closed the largest small-wind project fund ever, valued at over $200 million. He served as President of Young Professionals in Energy / NYC for four years, and he currently mentors cleantech founders at Techstars and RMI’s Third Derivative accelerator. Leo has a bachelors from Colby College, where he studied government and economics.
